Tuesday, July 23rd -- This travel day takes us north, thru the Cumberland Gap and north on Hwy 25E thru Pineville and Barboursville. Then we got on I75 for awhile thru Corbin, London and Berea KY, then past Richmond and East to Boonesborough, being the town that Daniel Boone settled with his group of travelers in the 18th Century.
Once we got settled in, we went out for dinner, and chose Hall's on the River. Ed had the pulled pork quesadilla with fried banana peppers for an appetizer, and I had the pulled pork plate with a bowl of lobster bisque soup. Both very good meals. And the restaurant building is really something to see. We highly recommend visiting this place!

Fort Boonesborough State Park Campground is a very nice campground. The campground is very large, super clean and spaces are far apart. The bath house and laundry area were spotless and AIR CONDITIONED!! And there is a creek right onsite for General to play in!
