Sunday, July 28th -- We headed straight for Buffalo Trace Distillery around noon, and arrived right on time for the 1:00 tour.

Only a few minutes into the tour, we were feeling extremely blessed to have been guided to this particular distillery, which has so much history, and to have gotten this particular tour guide, who was very knowledgeable and also very obviously a bourbon connoisseur himself.
We learned about the aging process and how not just the storage barrels, but the very building itself affects the aging process. It's amazing to think bourbon takes years to age, so it's a product that isn't produced and "instant". We also learned that Bourbon can only be legally made in the United States!
The tour was totally awesome! And we were able to walk around the property afterwards and take more pictures of the buildings in the complex.
