Monday, August 12th -- Today was big ship day! The SS City of Milwaukee is called a Car Ferry, but when you think of cars, it's actually for railroad cars, and has actual railroad tracks inside the hold of the ship.

Sunday, August 11th -- We had intended to tour the 2 large ships in dock in Manistee today, but got going so late that by the time we made it to Manistee, we were very hungry. So we decided to do a late lunch, and save the ships for the next day.
Saturday, August 10th -- On our first day of exploring, we went directly to the beach in Manistee. I had read on Google Reviews that the 1st Street Beach Access was pet friendly, so we went there first. What a beautiful beach!
Friday, August 9th -- Our next travel day takes us to Wellston MI. Why Wellston? Because by the time I got around to making a reservation, all the campgrounds near the beach areas were booked up. LOL. We took US Hwy 31 all the way north.
Thursday, August 8th -- The History Museum in South Bend is actually a local history museum, a car museum and two historical house museums, all rolled into one visit!
