Where there are Roads, there are Rocks

​Monday, June 17th -- When we woke up and ran to the store in the morning, we realized we did indeed have a chip in our windshield. We heard the proper noise on our way home the day before, but just didn't notice the actual crack. 

It was big enough that we knew we didn't want to drive the truck until it was fixed. So we stayed home on Monday, got the windshield repair scheduled, and re-arranged our plans to leave this campground and head to our next destination. We ended up choosing to stay in Cherokee for another full week.

But the downtime did allow Ed enough time to make Fried Green Tomatoes for lunch! Paired with some garlic aioli, I was in Heaven!

​Tuesday, June 18th -- The SafeLite repairman came before noon and fixed the window. Turns out we had 2 cracks, not just the one we had noticed. But the repair went well and we were once again free to roam.

​It was kind of a rainy day, so we squeezed in a trip to the Mountain Farm to take General for a walk, then made it back home before the skies opened up on us.
