Thursday June 13th -- we toured the Museum of the Cherokee. That was a great experience, and very eye opening to hear about their history, in their own words!
After that, we did some shopping in the Cultural District (aka souvenir shops). Then back to the Mountain Farm to walk General on the trail.

But this time, he surprised us. We got to a spot in the river where the water was deeper, and he climbed up on some rocks and jumped into the water and swam over to me! And we got it on video!
Shortly after we got home, we heard a train blowing its horn, and we knew exactly what that meant! There are railroad tracks right behind the RV park, but they are only used for the Smokey Mountain Railroad tourist train, and since we weren't able to take the train tour (both too expensive and they don't allow dogs), Ed decided to take video of the train as it passed by the campground. (Video to be published in a YouTube video soon.)
When we were at the Mountain Farm, Ed went into the museum store and bought General a stuffed possum. We gave it to him that evening, and he's made that possum his favorite toy and shakes it around every chance he gets!
