Friday, July 19th -- I decided that after almost 3 weeks of laying low so my foot injury could heal, that I wanted to go for a hike. Ed picked the beginning part of the big hike he did last weekend, up the Object Lesson Road and on to the Historic Cumberland Gap. And as a history buff, I very much agreed with his choice!

It was a little difficult, both because it was very hot out at 10:30 in the morning (around 90 degrees), and because I had been laid up for the last 3 weeks. But we all made it just fine, and it was an awesome hike.
After that, we drove to Pineville KY because that was where the nearest liquor store was (Middlesboro was a dry town). Then we decided to drive to a fabric shop in Tazewell TN to get new foam for our new dinette cushions. Then lunch at Arby's (love the Beef and Cheddar). Then back home.
