Thursday, July 4th -- Happy Anniversary to us! 18 wonderful years and still going strong!!
We left fairly early for Rogersville to do some research work on a personal genealogy project. While in town, we decided to take at look at the old Amis Mill property.
Built around 1781, the original house still stands, although the actual mill does not and only the foundation can be seen. The current owner of the property is a descendant of the original owner, Captain Thomas Amis, who was granted the land for his service in the Revolutionary War.

When we got back to the campground, the campground owners were having a 4th of July celebration with food, so we joined them and had a great time. Everyone was so friendly and very willing to talk to us about their own fulltime RV experiences.
