Saturday, November 23, 2019 -- We headed toward Abilene to check out the Buffalo Gap Historic Village in the small town of Buffalo Gap, Texas. General was allowed to walk around with us, even inside the buildings!!
Buffalo Gap Historic Village is a collection of historic buildings, which started in 1956 with the purchase of this old stone courthouse.

The courthouse has many small exhibits inside, including this great collection of branding irons!
This 1875 early settlers cabin was added shortly after.
This house is called a shotgun house, because you can shoot a shotgun from one end, all the way thru to the other end, without hitting anything. And this particular house was the home of Abilene's first Marshal.
Complete with original outhouse!
