June 28th - We got a late start again today. Didn't leave the camper until around 11am. But we decided to leave General at home (and felt extremely guilty about it all day long!), drove to the Welcome Center, and took the trolley into downtown Gatlinburg.

June 27th -- It has been a couple of days since General has had a good walk, so Ed found a trail very close to downtown Gatlinburg that looked easy and was pet friendly. We have been having trouble finding pet friendly areas to walk him. But this was a 2 mile trail (one way) and next to a river, so he got a good walk and was able to get his feet wet as well.
June 26th -- We took a short drive west on the Foothills Parkway. We had seen this Parkway when we were first coming into town, and it reminded us very much of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. So we wanted to take a look. The short section we drove was pretty awesome!
June 25th -- Today we got a late start getting going, but we headed for Cades Cove, which I had only recently found out about, but was really looking forward to seeing, and it did not disappoint! The drive thru the village was beautiful, and the meadows in the valley were breathtaking!
June 24th -- We left early (10am) from Cherokee NC and arrived at our new campsite in Pigeon Forge TN around 1:30pm. Road construction and a wrong turn made a 2 hour drive 3.5 hours. Our travels over the Smokey Mountains went very well. But the wrong turns put us once again on curvy and steep roads. LOL.
