Friday, June 21st - It was supposed to be a sunny day, so we decided to take advantage of that and drove up to Clingman's Dome. Wow! What a drive! And a very popular destination! The parking lot at the visitor's center was packed and people were parking on the side of the road. We found a spot, took a couple of pictures really quick, and headed right back out. But no regrets there. We just wanted to be able to say we went up there. What a view! Highly recommended!

Wednesday, June 19th -- We got up early and headed for a grouping of 4 waterfalls on a back road near the very small town of Franklin which was a little ways south of where we were. The first part of the drive was fine, but then we headed uphill and the road got really narrow, and the drop off got dropier. LOL.
Monday, June 17th -- When we woke up and ran to the store in the morning, we realized we did indeed have a chip in our windshield. We heard the proper noise on our way home the day before, but just didn't notice the actual crack.
Sunday, June 16th -- Today we decided to drive to Maggie Valley to take in the Wheels thru Time Motorcycle Museum. Wow! What a place! Over 300 motorcycles, 95% of which do run, and the employees start some of them up every day. They also have several old cars here. It was a pretty awesome place, and we spent a couple of hours here.
Saturday, June 15th -- After taking General to the Mountain Farm to walk the trail, we went just a little ways further up the road and visited the Mingus Mill. It was pretty interesting to see the water plume coming down towards the building. And it reminded us that the Cherokee use hollowed logs to channel water wherever it is needed.
