Saturday, August 17th -- We had been seeing the signs ever since we crossed the bridge into the Upper Peninsula. What in the world was a Pastie? We just had to find out.
Think of it as a pot pie, all rolled up so you can hold it in your hand, but without all the messy gravy, and lots more meat and potatoes. LOL. And you can eat them that way, in your hand. But we both chose to add gravy on top! LOL
Ed got beef, and I got chicken. And all I can say is YUM! These were awesome!!! Highly recommended. Of course, there are websites out there that track all the restaurants you can get Pasties at, and which restaurants have the best ones. We didn't go to one of the top restaurants. So I would guess that the Pasties at those places would be even better! OMG! I can't even imagine better than what I just ate! LOL.

After dinner we took General for a walk along the waterfront park, and let him get his feet wet in the clear blue water of Lake Huron.
That evening, the town had fireworks over the water, so Ed went downtown to get some pictures.
General is afraid of the noise the fireworks make, so I stayed home with him so he wouldn't be left alone with his fear.
