Visiting the Big Ships!

Monday, August 12th -- Today was big ship day! The SS City of Milwaukee is called a Car Ferry, but when you think of cars, it's actually for railroad cars, and has actual railroad tracks inside the hold of the ship.

This ship is known to be haunted, and you can actually spend the night on the ship, if you are brave enough. LOL.

Since the Car Ferry was a guided tour of an hour, and it was very warm inside, we decided to only do the self-guided tour of the Coast Guard ship. And wow, what an awesome ship!

And of course, more beach time for General. And yes, he got a bath every day we were here. LOL. 

We had been seeing some enterprising folks selling stuff in their front yards for the last month or so. Mostly firewood and vegetables. But we thought this one was very unique. Fresh cut flowers, from the Flower Truck.
