Sunday, August 11th -- We had intended to tour the 2 large ships in dock in Manistee today, but got going so late that by the time we made it to Manistee, we were very hungry. So we decided to do a late lunch, and save the ships for the next day.
The Blue Fish had been recommended to us by the 3 ladies we met the day before. The food was great, especially the smoked fish dip. It was better than any crab dip I had ever had back home. LOL.
​After eating, we walked around downtown. Manistee has a very nice Main Street area. Although half of the city's buildings were destroyed in a fire in 1871, the town still has a very nice Victorian look to it.

Manistee also has a very nice river walk, and alot of the restaurants and shops are beautifully landscaped on the back river side.
Then of course, we went back to the North Beach Access so General could get his feet wet again. LOL.

That evening, we drove back into Manistee to see if we could get some sunset pics over the water, and some time lapse video. We chose the pier that extends from the First Street beach access.
We weren't terribly successful at getting the sunset pics because it was way too cloudy, almost stormy. But the time lapse video did look pretty cool.
