Friday, July 26th -- Today we headed off to Ward Hall, which is north of Lexington, only to find that it wasn't open. When I checked their website, it says they are only open the first two weekends of each month.

Wednesday, July 24th -- Today we went exploring, and started with the nearby White Hall Mansion. Built by Green Clay in 1798, and later owned by his son Cassius, the house was well taken care of for many years, until Cassius passed away and it fell into disrepair and eventually ended up being gifted to the state, who restored it and is now preserving it. What an awesome house!
Thursday, July 25th -- The original Fort Boonesborough settlement area is right next to the campground, so Ed explored that on his morning walk with General.
Tuesday, July 23rd -- This travel day takes us north, thru the Cumberland Gap and north on Hwy 25E thru Pineville and Barboursville. Then we got on I75 for awhile thru Corbin, London and Berea KY, then past Richmond and East to Boonesborough, being the town that Daniel Boone settled with his group of travelers in the 18th Century.
Saturday, July 20th thru Monday, July 22nd -- With temperatures in the 90s and heat indexes in the 100s, we decided it was best to stay inside, and used our time to get caught up on some computer work. But staying inside doesn't mean you don't get to see ANYTHING. LOL.
