Next on our list was to go in search of Santa Fe Trail Tracks. Council Grove has a site a few miles east of town where the trail crosses a creek.
This site is on private property, but they have a small parking lot and a walking path going back toward some trees that surrounded the creek area. Unfortunately, the path doesn't get close enough to the creek to be able to see anything. So... once again, no trail tracks! But, wow, what an awesome view of some natural prairie grasses!
