Monday, October 21st -- There wasn't much to see or do in Kingston, OK. So we came to this location with the intention of just resting for a few days!
Ed Spent some time taking pictures of birds down by the lake.
The rocks down by the lake were just full of fossils!

There was a trail inside the park. General loves hiking the trails, this one especially, I think, because he has to jump over a huge tree stump!
A couple days after the big storm, we had another lighter rain, and soon realized we had a water leak back near our bed. We had to take everything out of the closets, and prop the bed up to get it dried out. With our fear of heights, it was impossible for us to thoroughly check out the roof. There is another loop to this campground which is for tents only, but it was closed down the whole time we were there. The campground looked to be in good shape. Have y'all ever seen an Osage Orange? We had been seeing these for a little while now, and I never took the time to do the research on it until now. This actually does look like an orange on the inside, but the shell is hard as a rock, and can usually only be opened up by running over it with a vehicle. But some larger animals (cows, goats, etc.) do manage to get these open and eat the contents. Pretty interesting!
