Our First Geographical Marker!

This one came up on the Roadside America website, and since we had never seen a geographical marker before, we decided to go ahead and do the 45 minute drive to get there. 

When we got there, we were very surprised to find a parking lot, and a very large informational sign to guide us along.

The actual marker was down a short path, right next to a corn field, and was very well maintained.

The sign at the entrance said that if we went to the Visitor Center in downtown Wausau and signed the Geographical marker guestbook, we could get a coin as a souvenir of our visit. So that is exactly what we did! 

So... for being our first geographical marker, I'd say that was pretty darn cool!
