Saturday, October 5th -- Today we started heading for Dodge City, Kansas. And after being in Deadwood, we were very excited about this!
Our travel route was pretty easy. US-400/US-50 due East the whole way.
On our way there, we passed by a manufacturer that makes wind turbines, and we could see all the various parts stacked up in the yard. That was pretty awesome!

We stayed at Cimarron RV Park in Cimarron, Kansas, which was about 20 minutes from Dodge City. It was only $25 per night for full hookups, and was a newer park (only about 2 years old) with very nice and wide gravel pads and very nice grass.
After we got settled in, I ran to Walmart to fetch some things we needed, and stopped by the Visitor Center to see if they had some brochures available, even though it was after 5pm. They did have some brochures, and I got to quickly look around town. When I got back home, I told Ed to not get his hopes up, because this was nothing like Deadwood.
