On Friday, May 31st, we decided to drive some of the Blue Ridge Parkway that we had missed when Garmin caused us to re-route getting here, and because Ed really wanted to see the Linn Cove Viaduct. What an amazing engineering feat!
I drove while he filmed out the window. LOL. There were as couple of spots where it felt like we were flying thru the air!
On Saturday, June 1st, we went to Linville Caverns and received a very colorful tour (both the caverns and the tour guide). LOL.

Afterwards, we were planning on taking General to Linville Falls, which was close by. But when we got to the parking lot, it was over full. So we left the parking lot, and took the first road to the right, which brought us to a riverfront picnic area, with access to the river for General to run around on the sandy shore and into the water. He had a blast! And no crowds!
Next stop....Asheville!
