Moving on....

Tuesday, September 10th -- We had spent several extra days at the Ingalls Homestead because we just felt very relaxed and comfortable there, and because they had a few days of windy and rainy weather that we didn't want to travel in. But when it cleared, it was time to move on.

We went to Pierre SD mainly because it was half-way between the Ingalls Homestead and our next location.

Pierre is actually a pretty cool little town! We were driving along the prairies, and when we got close to town, we started down this hill, into the valley which Pierre was built in. And the campground at Farm Island was pretty awesome too! Huge sites, lots of room, and pretty cheap too!

Our site was very close to the lake, which is actually a part of the Missouri River, connected to the river on the East side.
