Monday, August 19th -- The owner of the campground recommended this site to us, which is located in Palms Book State park near Manistique MI. It was about an hour drive from our campground, but really sounded like something we would like to see.
The waters of Kitch-iti-kipi are an amazing blue green color.
They had built a covered raft, with a glass bottom, so you can see the water below. The raft is attached to a rope, and there is a wheel inside the raft that you turn to advance the raft down the rope to the other side of the lake, and then back again. It was really an amazing piece of engineering!

The water was so clear, you could see the bottom of the lake, and the spring water coming up from the bottom.

And the fish were huge, about 3-4 feet in length.
We had an awesome time here, and highly recommend this attraction!

On our way home, we saw a sign with a camera on it which was pointing down a side road, so we turned down the road to take a look. We didn't see anything in particular that was picture worthy, but we did see these two Great Blue Herons in someone's back yard as we were heading back to the main road.
Of course, General got some beach time after dinner. He likes to chew on pieces of driftwood. LOL.
And we went down to the observation tower when it got dark to see if we could get some night sky pictures. Ed got this one right at dusk.
