Bent's Old Fort!

Friday, October 4th -- There was really only one thing we wanted to see while in Lamar, CO -- Bent's Old Fort. 

This adobe trading post Fort was on the Santa Fe Trail, so it saw alot of people during its time! Soldiers, Native Americans, and many travelers heading west!

Like most forts, there was a common gathering area in the center, surrounded by many rooms for different purposes.

We thought this was a pretty awesome place to see! And they did a really great job in putting this all together!

​When we got back to the campground, there was a huge storm coming towards us. Luckily, it was a near miss. But Ed got some awesome pictures of the stormy skies!
