Our Route Plan...

This is it!! Isn't it awesome?!?!

Well, of course, it makes sense to me. But I guess I should break it down for you. LOL.

Starting at Richmond, VA
Heading west to Tennessee, we will pass thru Raleigh/Durham NC, Greensboro/Winston-Salem NC, Charlotte NC, Asheville NC, Cherokee NC, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg TN.

In Knoxville TN, we will pick up the eastern branch of the Dixie Highway and head north, visiting Lexington KY, Cincinnati OH, Dayton OH, Toledo OH.

Continuing into a north central loop, we will go thru Mackinaw City MI, Thunder Bay Ontario, Winnipeg Manitoba, Fargo ND, Bismarck ND, Billings MT, Butte MT, Boise ID, Idaho Falls ID, Casper WY, Rapid City SD, Sioux Falls SD, Minneapolis MN, Milwaukee WI, Chicago IL.

Then comes the infamous Route 66! We will be visiting Springfield IL, St Louis MO, Springfield MO, a small sidestep to Kansas City KS, then Tulsa OK, Oklahoma City OK, Amarillo TX, Albuquerque NM, Flagstaff AZ, another side step to Phoenix and Tucson AZ, then Kingman AZ with another side step to Las Vegas NV, then ending in Los Angeles CA.

From there, heading up the west coast to visit Fresno CA, San Francisco CA, Portland OR, Seattle WA, Vancouver British Columbia.

Then comes Alaska!! Straight up north to Dawson City Yukon Territory, Fairbanks AK, Anchorage AK, Homer AK, Seward AK, Valdez AK. Then back down toward the main 48, with Edmonton Alberta, Calgary Alberta, Spokane WA, Bend OR, Reno NV.

Then we pick up on the Lincoln Highway going East. Salt Lake City UT, Cheyenne WY, an offshoot to Colorado Springs and Denver CO, Omaha NB, Davenport IA, Indianapolis IN.

Then down south for the winter, and following the western branch of the Dixie Highway! Nashville TN, Chattanooga TN, Atlanta GA, Jacksonville FL, Orlando FL, Tampa/St Petersburg FL, Tallahassee FL, Mobile AL, Biloxi MS, New Orleans LA, Baton Rouge LA, Natchez MS, Houston TX, San Antonio TX, Austin TX, Dallas/Fort Worth TX, Shreveport LA, Little Rock AR, Memphis TN, Jackson MS, Tuscaloosa AL, Birmingham AL, Montgomery AL, Brunswick GA, Savannah GA, Charleston SC, Southport NC.

Then to the northeast! Washington DC, Baltimore MD, Gettysburg PA, Philadelphia PA, New York NY, New Haven CT, Newport RI, Boston MA, Portland ME, Bar Harbor ME, Burlington VT, Montreal Quebec, Ottawa Ontario, Alexandria Bay NY, Toronto Ontario, Niagara Falls Ontario, Cleveland OH, Columbus OH.

Then picking up the balance of the Lincoln Highway. Pittsburgh PA, Harrisburg PA, Dover DE, Ocean City MD, and ending 3 years later in Norfolk VA.

Whew! That's alot!
