Traveling to Tucson, Arizona

Monday, December 2, 2019 -- This Travel Day takes us to Catalina State Park in Tucson, Arizona!

The roads were very good, and the scenery was beautiful!

We passed by several Pecan farms!

We drove thru the small town of Hatch, New Mexico. Hatch is widely known as the "Chile Capital of the World" because of its many chile farms. And you will see those farms as you drive thru the area.

Sparky's BBQ in Hatch is known for its green chile cheeseburgers!

Just a few miles down the road from Hatch, we saw our first solar farm. All this time, we had been seeing wind farms all across the country. So this was pretty awesome! And these panels were huge! We had never seen anything like this before.

Snow capped peaks, off in the distance.

We stopped at a really nice rest area to let General out for a bit.

We had been seeing signs for this Historic Trading Post for about 50-60 miles before the exit for it actually came. And we knew right away that we wanted to stop and see it!

What we didn't know is that we had to go thru a small tunnel to get there! Plenty of room for us, but I think alot of bigger rigs would have trouble with this one.

Was it worth it? YES!!! The store was totally awesome, and we were able to pick up some last minute Christmas gifts for our family! They had all kinds of gift items and souvenirs in there!
