Saturday, December 7, 2019 -- The Park was giving an educational presentation about desert critters, so Ed walked down to the main pavilion in the morning to take that in.
On his way, he came across this Roadrunner! Awesome creatures!
Ed said the presentation was pretty awesome! They had all these critters in cages so you could see what they looked like. And there were several people there that you could ask questions. Ed learned alot! Scorpions come in many different sizes. If one of the smaller ones bites you, it will feel similar to a bee sting!

Of course, everybody knows that rattlesnakes aren't good in any way, shape or form!
This critter is called a Gila Monster. Although his bite won't kill you, it will make you wish you were dead. Back in the day, cowboys who were bitten had their guns taken away by others who were with them, so they wouldn't shoot themselves!

After that, we went to an Arts & Crafts Show right across the street from the Park. We really love the desert-inspired artwork, and look forward to purchasing some of these items when we return home!

Later in the afternoon, they had a concert at the park down at the main pavilion. It was only an hour long, but they played some pretty good Bluegrass music!
