Saturday, November 30, 2019 (continued) -- The visitor center in Truth or Consequences was a wealth of information, as most visitor centers are. These folks love their town and know their town, and can answer any questions you might have!
This was stamped into the bench outside the visitor center. Pretty cool!
The folks here were so friendly! I had gone into the visitor center to find out more information about the hot springs placards around town. The guy followed me out, and saw that Ed was standing outside with General. He told Ed about the Spaceport America exhibit, and said we could bring General inside the building. They even gave him a biscuit!
The Spaceport America exhibit was actually pretty cool. They have a video playing that tells you more about it.

Spaceport America is actually close by, and they offer tours. But they were a bit expensive.
A little something for the children to play with.

The folks at the Visitor Center also told us about this free play that was being held at the museum in just a little bit. So we decided to take that in too. But we chose to leave General in the air conditioned truck, and that ended us being a smart decision.
The play ended up being a comedy skit about all the Tombstone characters - Doc Holliday and Kate, Wyatt Earp and Josephine, the Clanton brothers, etc. It was kind of on the cheesy side, but fun for me just to see the costumes they were wearing (not bad). LOL.
There was alot of gun shooting, and the other people who had brought their dogs to the show soon regretted it. Poor puppers.

Take a look at this plant! It's huge!
In our drive around town, we passed by this awesome Catholic Church! Very beautiful!
We chose to have supper at La Cocina Restaurant.
We both chose this platter, which was about $15, but enough to feed each of us for about 4 days! And it was pretty good food!
The restaurant was up on top of a hill, and gave us a great shot of these snow-capped mountains in the distance!
