Unique RVs and Stone Cabins in the Desert!

Monday, January 27, 2020 — Here’s another very unique RV!
This decommissioned fire truck makes a very unique RV
A modified Fire Truck! Really wish we could have seen the inside of this one, just to see how much room there was in there. LOL. Hmmm… wonder where they were planning on using the boat?  LOL.

The replacement tires on our Poopie Stroller fell apart. But our camping neighbor showed us the wheels he had on his, and said they have been holding up good for several years. Ed was blessed to be able to find the same wheels here in Quartzsite!

One of our camping neighbors forgot to put up all their stabilizers before they pulled out. So now we have a Stabilizer Intaglio, right next door! LOL.

Here’s another entry in the Unbelievable RV Contest! The utility trailer is about as big as the motorhome!

And here’s another! All in the same day! LOL.

We bought this book, Stone Cabins, at the Quiet Times store downtown. And we were very excited to start exploring the area! All proceeds from the book go to support Celia’s Memorial Garden, and we were very happy to support a good cause!

The first location we chose to explore was Joseph Cone’s cabin and workshop! This is located close to Rainbow Acres, and we recommend a high clearance vehicle for this one, because we had to go thru a steep wash just as we started down the drive.

The smaller building was Joseph’s house and he lived there until the 1960s when he passed away at age 75.

The larger building was Joseph’s workshop, where he turned Ironwood on a lathe to make bowls and lamp stands.

The Stone Cabins book said there was another house further down the drive, so we started to drive in that direction. We soon came to a point where we didn’t feel comfortable taking our truck any further, so we got out and walked. We must have made a wrong turn somewhere, because we ended up on top of this hill. But Wow, what an awesome view! This picture looks south towards Rainbow Acres.

Well, no luck with the second cabin, but we still had an awesome time! It set our tooth to do more exploring!
