Quartzsite Pow Wow Gem and Mineral Show!

Thursday, January 16, 2020 -- It's time to go to the Pow Wow! And we were very excited about this, just because we had no idea what to expect!

The Quartzsite Pow Wow actually covers every step of the rock, gem, mineral and jewelry making process. Not only do they have vendors selling equipment (cutters, grinders, etc.) to process the rocks into workable pieces....

They have raw Rocks and Gems!

They also had cut slabs of rocks and gems, so you can really see what they look like on the inside!

These figurines were made from real Ivory, and they were absolutely beautiful!

Lots of cut and polished stones and cabochons!

There were plenty of strands of gemstone beads, and other jewelry making supplies!

And they also had finished jewelry! This person has won best of show every year for the last 12-15 years! Stunning!

And of course, there were some other interesting things to look at too!

We thought the prices were extremely reasonable for professional jewelry makers, so we can completely understand why this show is so popular! It was a great experience for us too! We learned a little about the different types of gemstones!
