Laundry, Garlic Bread and Travel Plans!

Saturday, March 28, 2020 — Because of CoVid-19, we stopped doing any exploring around the area, and limited our trips into town to once a week.
We also stopped taking General to the Dog Park, and started taking more walks around the campground. We tried new routes so that he wouldn’t get bored. We had been seeing this one particular type of cactus, an Ocotillo, but finally seeing it in bloom was amazing!

The blooms at the ends of the branches were the brightest red!

Sunday, March 29, 2020 — We also stopped going to the laundromat. It seemed just too close quarters to us. So I started washing some of our clothes in the kitchen sink!

The first load of socks came out pretty good, and it wasn’t that difficult at all! Kind of reminded me of how the pioneers used to do things. LOL.

Monday, March 30, 2020 — We had been wondering, and hoping, that BLM (Bureau of Land Management) would leave the campground open past April 15th, since so many of the folks were talking like they didn’t have a place to go after that. But today they posted a sign at the gatehouse, saying they would indeed be closing the campground on April 15th, as usual. So I started looking online, making a tentative travel plan for us, starting with the Grand Canyon and heading east into Utah and Colorado. We tried to pick routes that would keep us away from counties with alot of CoVid-19 cases.

Tuesday, March 31, 2020 — We started eating Garlic Bread on a regular basis, usually after a trip into town. Our hope was that besides the natural immune boosting properties, it would kill off anything that we should happen to pick up in town. And we also really love Garlic Bread, so that was an added bonus for us!

Light fluffy clouds, so pretty
When the Grand Canyon was closed due to CoVid-19, I started to plot another travel route for us. This time we were to head to Zion National Park first. I always like to plot out a few stops ahead, so I was checking the CoVid-19 cases in Montana to see if that would be a possibility.
